You don’t need to do anything…. It just runs. Enjoy an interesting photo show every day with Foto Flow, for iPad and iPhone 4.
The newly released app FotoFlow, by Bas Meijer, seems to be built so people can show off the high quality of their new iPad or iPhone 4 with the Retina Display, this is the magic eye candy that proves this new gadget is really phenomenal! However it is also useful for people that simply want ‘some stuff on’ when it is in the cradle or on the car kit (entertaining the bored passengers) I just watch it, for inspiration, illumination, and entertainment.
Different interesting photos are provided by Flickr every day.
Foto Flow is available in the iTunes App Store for only $1.99 U.S.

As you probably know, Apple had their 15th annual World Wide Developer’s Conference, commonly known as WWDC. The conference happened this morning at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, with a keynote given by Steve Jobs that announced many new innovations by Apple for this year. In this post, as opposed to doing a review, I will be touching on this morning’s announcements, and will also be covering it more in depth on the next episode of MacMania.

Apple has done it again! Yesterday, they already surpassed the one million iPhone mark on their new 3GS model. They released information about this with a press release on June 22, 2009. This averages out to 333,333 iPhones per day, give or take. It’s amazing that they were able to pull this off, because of the fact that it was only released on June 19th, and announced only a couple of weeks earlier at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, henceforth known as WWDC. Phil Schiller announced the iPhone 3GS, with the “S” standing for speed, because of the new features on it. To begin with, a faster HTML renderer was added to their mobile Safari browser, making pages load up to two times faster, or so they claim. They also bumped the specs up to a 600 megahertz processor, and 256 megabytes of RAM (I have had computers with worse specs than that). These new specs double the RAM, and significantly increase the processor’s clock speed. Continue reading »

Apple put out a press release earlier today that the billionth iPhone/iPod Touch application was sold today to 13-year-old Connor Mulcahey from Weston, Connecticut. If you didn’t know already, Apple has been holding an ongoing contest to see who would download the epic billionth app from the iTunes app store. Continue reading »

Today, Apple posted an article on their press website that explained in detail much of their financial information for the second quarter of 2009, with excerpts from the conference call that they held last night (view an earlier post of mine for that information).
Apple had a revenue stream this quarter of $8.16 billion U.S., with a gross profit of $1.21 billion, and the sales were up nearly 37% compared to the second quarter of 2008. There were 2.22 million Macintosh computers sold this quarter, 3% less than the year-ago quarter, and 11.01 million iPods, a 3% growth. Continue reading »
