As you probably know, I am virtually incapable of doing only one blog or podcast. Today, I would like to tell you about my newest venture, the Gourmet Blog. Like most people in the world, I love food, and I created the Gourmet Blog in order to talk about my findings in the world of gourmet food and to review them for you. I have already done a few reviews, on things ranging from caviar to soda to chocolates, and I would love for all of my MacMania readers and listeners to be a part of it. Check it out at the website, and be sure to leave plenty of comments!

Today, I wanted to give a shout-out to a cool-looking iPhone application, called Night Recorder. A lot of people sleepwalk or do other odd things during sleep, and Night Recorder is, as they say, the first iPhone application to help people with that. It provides a solution that detects noises during your sleep cycle, and automatically activates a recording system.

Today, instead of a review, I wanted to just let you know about a cool-looking application that came out a couple of days ago, which is the Apple store application. They released it recently to compensate for the recent downtime that happened for their online store. Due to so many people ordering the new iPhone, they had to release a new way of ordering because of so many server issues. In this post, I just wanted to provide you with a link to the application for your reference, and I hope you enjoy it!

As you probably know, Apple’s System Preferences is an application that allows you to control almost every aspect of your Macintosh. As you have probably noticed, it is conveniently located in the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen. However, there is no way to get to it with your keyboard. In this post, you will learn how to set up a keyboard shortcut for System Preferences, as well as for other menu items.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know about the status of MacMania. Of course, as you know, I usually record on Sunday nights and get it uploaded before day’s end. Unfortunately, I was unable to do it tonight due to a few conflicts, but please do not worry. There will be an episode tomorrow. I have not podfaded, but rather postponed the show a day. Thanks for your understanding, and I will talk to you tomorrow!

Before I begin today’s review, I would like to let you know that MacMania will be happening this week. If you do not see it in your feeds on Sunday, please do not be alarmed, as it will be coming out on Monday this week. There will still be great content, so wait for it in your feeds on Monday.

Anyway, I will now get on with today’s review. Today, I will be reviewing an application called frame4zoom, which is software made to fit in with your image processing workflow. The application is another one of those applications that does one thing and does it well, which is great for its type of application.

Today, I will actually be reviewing a preference pane for you called Widget Manager. As you probably know, Apple has a program called Dashboard included on Mac OS 10.4 and later, which is a utility that can be invoked so that one can view a collection of widgets above their applications. Widgets are like small programs, and range from notes to clocks to weather, and are often helpful in day-to-day life. However, these can become cluttered, and that is where Widget Manager comes in.

For today’s blog post, I want to talk about what I keep in my Dock. Many people make videos about it, but I thought that I would do a blog post about it for you guys, so I will be covering all non-Apple apps today that I keep in my Dock.
